I forgot that Corcorans shows the footie. The one in 28 Rue Saint-André des Arts?

Neither the Bowler nor The Bombardier are particularly good bets, imho. Unlike the two I mentioned below, they're not really sports bars, and The Bowler is just plain boring.

John son at least I'm not showing myself up as you are by posting this. Get a life and stop stalking.

Gavros- I never came across any Scottish pubs that I can remember. Irish and English yes. Got the right city?

Re: Pubs/bars in Paris showing the Newcastle game
Never knew there was such thing as a Scottish pub outside of Scotland. I've seen Irish, English and German, but never a Scottish one.

Do they serve Super Tennants and fuck all else?

Brucie

As I've spents years in Paris I'd recommend the following:

Coolin - Odeon just of Boulevard St Germain. Has a big screen; Also just round the corner showing the game is The Frog and Princess which does excellent micro beers.

You could also hit The Bowler just off the Champs Elyssee. It has AC as well.

Or my other local in the 5th/St Michel- The Long Hop.

Near The Pantheon you have The Bombadier.

Avoid Chatelet and Bastille. Full of scumbags at weekends.

The Financier & Firkin near Monteparnasse station always used to show the football

Re: Pubs/bars in Paris showing the Newcastle game
Right, don't know that part of town very well but if you google Irish pubs Invalides or the arrondissement you'll probably find something nearby.

Failing which there are a couple of big Irish boozers right near each other in the 2nd arrondissement either side of metro Grands Boulevards - Corcorans and O'Sullivan's. They'll generally show 3 games on a Saturday, but bear in mind the other 3pm kick offs so not necessarily our game. Having said which, ours is probably the most interesting of the 3pm games.

They both have websites with contact details, easiest thing is to ring them up tomorrow before the game (make sure you call the Grands Boulevards branches as they're both chains).

Corcoran's is probably the better bet.

Fair enough. If you have not been before I recommend the Catacombes as a place to visit.
